Shelter from the Storm All Breed Dog and Cat Rescue is seeking leaders who share our mission to reduce euthanasia rates of healthy and adoptable animals and provide affordable veterinary care to those in need. Our Wisconsin Community Veterinary Center serves as an educational and training center for veterinarians and veterinary students. If you are passionate about creating a humane community, highly motivated, and well-connected, we invite you to join our Board of Directors. Responsibilities & Expectations
for board members

Commit to a two-year term, which can be renewed four consecutive times upon Board approval.

Further our mission and programs by sharing your time, skills, knowledge, resources, and networks.

Act as an ambassador and represent Shelter from the Storm to stakeholders.

Ensure that operations are consistent with the goals and priorities of our mission.

Assist leadership with strategic planning.

Approve Shelter from the Storm's annual budget, being informed of, and meeting all, legal and fiduciary responsibilities.

Take on special assignments when necessary.

Participate actively in all meetings.
