Yard Sale for the Animals
Thank you for your interest in helping animals in their journey to find their forever homes! Helping at our Annual Yard Sale for the Animals is a great way to get involved, even if you don't have previous experience!
How You Can Help
This has become a community favorite! Every year, we collect items for about a week and half prior to the sale. During that time, we need lots of volunteers to help sort items. This makes it easier the days of the sale as we just have to set up the tables and bring the items out. Typically we don't do a lot of pricing, as most everything is by donation - which means awesome cheap finds for those shopping! Some of the larger and more expensive items, we do price as we go.
We also need help with picking up larger items for those that are unable to bring them to us.
On sale days, we need help bringing items outside and back in at the end. We also need people to direct those that are shopping and to collect money. It's a pretty chill event and is a lot of fun finding your own thrifts while volunteering!
After the event is over, we need to pack up anything that hasn't been purchased. We then donate it so that someone else can put them to good use.
All of the funds raised go directly to the animals at SFTS!
