What is the SFTS Fundraising Committee? 

The purpose of the SFTS Fundraising Committee is to implement the fundraising plans for the year. The committee is responsible for raising operating funds and capital necessary to fulfill our mission and vision. You will work on specific projects that help us connect with the community and get people and businesses excited about helping animals. This means that YOU will make a direct impact on how we fundraise and help animals in need this year!

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Measuring progress toward goals, troubleshooting as necessary.

  • Implementing strategies of the development plan within stated timeframes.

  • Analyze relationships with current and prospective donors and funders

  • Execute the donor retention plan 

  • Tap respective networks for potential donors of money, time, and in-kind support

  • Carry out fundraising appeals to reach potential donors and retain current donors.

  • Collect data and develop reports to support grant initiatives.

  • Analyze relationships with current and prospective donors and funders as related to event activities

  • Analyze relationships with current and prospective corporate sponsors and work to develop those relationships

  • Ensure budget and fundraising plan is on track.

  • Execute fundraising and friend-raising events

  • Create advertisements in accordance to the calendar to promote upcoming events
